Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR
In the world of photography, there are moments and stories that truly touch your heart. For me, one such story revolves around a wonderful couple, Supranee and Chris, who have been a part of my photography journey since its inception. From my earliest model calls in Arizona to our most recent adventure in Oregon, our bond has grown stronger, and our shared experiences have created lasting memories.
This year, as spring painted the landscape with vibrant colors, Supranee reached out to me with a delightful idea. She asked if I had ever visited Woodburn to witness the breathtaking display of tulips in full bloom. Due to the challenges posed by the pandemic, I hadn't had the chance to experience this natural wonder. Supranee's message was like a breath of fresh air, and without hesitation, we scheduled a date to explore the tulip fields together.
My husband, Kyle, and I embarked on this journey alongside Supranee and Chris. We met outside of Woodburn and decided to carpool the rest of the way, adding a touch of adventure to our day. The excitement was palpable as we anticipated the beauty that awaited us among the tulips. Seriously-as we drove up it was just row upon row upon row of tulips!!
Arriving at the tulip fields, we were greeted by an explosion of colors that stretched as far as the eye could see. The vibrant reds, pinks, yellows, and purples were a sight to behold, and I couldn't wait to capture the couple's genuine joy amidst this natural spectacle.
The mini photoshoot among the tulips was a pure delight. Supranee and Chris, with their infectious smiles and love for each other, made my job as a photographer a true pleasure. The flowers served as a stunning backdrop, accentuating their connection and the happiness they shared. We even caught the tail end of a hot air balloon which is a huge dream of mine to capture.
After capturing these precious moments, we continued to explore the fields, sharing stories, laughter, and sweet treats--there was some incredible ice cream which OF COURSE I got in on. It was a day filled with not only beautiful photographs but also the warmth of friendship and the joy of reconnecting with old friends.
As a photographer, these moments remind me of the power of photography to bring people together, to create memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Supranee and Chris have been a part of my photography journey from the very beginning, and our adventures together, like our day among the tulips, continue to strengthen our bond.
